October 23, 2012, Johannesburg, South Africa - Knight Piésold has been involved in very exciting and beneficial social upliftment projects. One of the recent initiatives was the donation of R30 000 to the Christ Church Christian Care Centre in Berea, Gauteng, South Africa to help with some of the financial challenges that the centre had experienced recently. The centre was established in July 2000 to care for the children of families affected by HIV/AIDS.

August 21, 2012 - Knight Piésold will once again be taking part in the Hydropower Africa 2012 Conference, which is the largest hydropower event of its kind in Africa attracting over 450 visitors from across the globe. This year, the event will take place in beautiful Cape Town, South Africa at the Cape Town International Convention Centre from September 4 – 5th, 2012. Hydropower Africa is a forum where comprehensive presentations, panel discussions and focused sessions will address the issues surrounding the financing and the implementation of hydropower projects in Africa – both large and small.

September 12, 2012, Johannesburg, South Africa - Knight Piésold received outstanding recognition on August 17th at the 2011 CESA Aon Engineering Excellence Awards. The Braamhoek Consultants Joint Venture (BCJV), comprising Knight Piésold, GIBB, and SSI, took home the award in the category of "Engineering Excellence with a value greater than R250 million for the Bedford Dam, part of the Ingula Pumped Storage Scheme. Furthermore, Kayad Knight Piésold took home a commendation for the Demise of the Athlone Cooling Towers for the City of Cape Town.

Established in 1921, the company has undergone numerous changes throughout its existence and has adapted its business structure in order to remain competitive in a dynamic environment.
