Black Mountain Mining (Pty) Ltd, a part of Vedanta Zinc International (VZI), is applying for a Water Use Licence for the proposed expansion of the Tailings Storage Facility (TSF) and associated structures on the Remaining Extent of Aroams 57, Northern Cape Province.

Notice is given in terms of Section 21 (c) & (i) and (g) of the National Water Act, 1998 (NWA, Act No. 36 of 1998), as read with GN 509 of 2016. The application and public participation process is done according to GN 267 of 2017 of the NWA, Regulations Regarding the Procedural Requirements for Water Use License Applications.
