The Role

This role is ideal for an HR professional who thrives in a fast-paced, evolving environment and enjoys the variety that comes with supporting recruitment, HSE and generalist HR functions. You’ll work closely with our stakeholders across Knight Piésold Australia to deliver people-focused outcomes and play an important role in shaping a positive employee experience support across HR operations and talent acquisition. You will solely be responsible for the delivery of a full range of services included in the HR and employee lifecycle for Knight Piésold’s Australian offices in Perth, Brisbane and Melbourne that also employs a number of international employees. This is a hands-on role reporting to the Human Resources Manager.

Key Responsibilities include (but not limited to):

• End-to-end recruitment and onboarding (development of PDs, advertising, short listing and selection of candidates, reference checks, interviews);
• Management of company inductions both online and face to face;
• Provide accurate interpretation of awards, industrial regulations and internal policies and procedures;
• Provide generalist HR support, including assisting with HR queries, grievances, disciplinary matters and any other issues;
• Manage and coordinate all HSE related matters;
• Manage internal HR communications;
• Champion HR projects and initiatives to promote a positive culture and staff retention, including coordination, communication and promotion of Knight Piésold’s staff social functions and internal newsletter; and
• HR reporting and other administrative duties.

About You
Our ideal candidate will be tertiary qualified in Human Resources or a related discipline, with minimum 5 years experience working in a similar role as well as:

• Deliver full-cycle recruitment services including sourcing, screening through different recruitment platforms and interview coordination with local and international candidates.
• Manage the employee lifecycle from onboarding to offboarding, including employment contract, changes and performance reviews.
• Prior experience managing and coordinating all HSE matters.
• A solid understanding of the FW Act, Modern Awards and safety legislation.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Strong organisational skills with an ability to manage multiple tasks.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Previous experience working in a consulting or engineering environment (highly regarded).
