May 10, 2015, Vancouver, BC, Canada – Knight Piésold Canada is pleased to announce that the BSI Group (BSI), a certification body for ISO standards that conducts audits annually and re-assessments every three years, has recommended the continuation of its ISO certifications. BSI has certified Knight Piésold Canada for its Quality Management System since it was registered in 2001. Knight Piésold Canada’s certifications include ISO 9001 Quality Management, ISO 14001 Environmental Management, and OHSAS 18001 Occupational Health and Safety Management under certificate numbers FS 64925, EMS 550121, and OHS 550122, respectively.
The BSI auditors conducted a re-assessment of the existing certifications on April 13-16 at the North Bay office and May 4-7 at the Vancouver office to confirm that Knight Piésold Canada’s Integrated Management System (IMS) has addressed the elements of the scope of registration and the requirements of the management standards. During this re-assessment, the auditors identified strengths of the IMS as having high levels of customer satisfaction, engaged employees, project safety audits, and continual assessment of vendors/subcontractors. The auditors also recommended a few opportunities for improvement, and Knight Piésold Canada is working on implementing these to strengthen its system.
This is the third re-assessment since establishing the IMS in 2009. At that time, Knight Piésold Canada added certifications for its Environmental Management System and Occupational Health and Safety Management System to its already existing Quality Management System. The IMS incorporates the three standards and provides a web-based management tool for carrying out business processes and activities, which is integral to Knight Piésold Canada’s daily operations.
Knight Piésold Consulting is dedicated to the continuous improvement of its systems and takes pride in its commitment to quality, environmental sustainability, and health and safety.
