October 23, 2012, Johannesburg, South Africa – “The highest use of capital is not to make more money, but to make money do more for the betterment of life.” — Henry Ford (1863 – 1947)
We at Knight Piésold understand the importance of giving money intelligently and we make it our goal to better the lives of the people we come in contact with.
Knight Piésold has been involved in very exciting and beneficial social upliftment projects. One of the recent initiatives was the donation of R30 000 to the Christ Church Christian Care Centre in Berea, Gauteng, South Africa. This was to help with the financial challenges that the centre had experienced recently; which included the write-off of the school bus due to a road accident.
The centre was established in July 2000 to care for the children of families affected by HIV/AIDS. Knight Piésold has been supporting the centre since 2006 either through financial donations or resources (groceries, stationery, clothing, etc). At present, there are approximately 39 children between the ages of 1 to 21, with 18 care givers.
The centre has, since its inception, produced responsible adults, whom are able to take care of themselves when they leave the centre. Pastor Mike Sunker, founder and director of the centre is very fond of the kids and speaks passionately about his commitment to making their lives better.
Knight Piésold is in full support of such initiatives that help to shape the future generations to come.
