October 22, 2018, Johannesburg, South Africa – Knight Piésold Southern Africa, with 11 offices across the region and is connected to offices worldwide, has launched the Bokamoso Programme, the next phase of its Corporate Social Investment Project, at ML Sultan Secondary School in Pietermaritzburg, Kwa-Zulu Natal, on October 12, 2018. Bokamoso means “their future,” and the customised programme, which is regarded as an investment project rather than a sponsorship, truly makes a difference in the education sphere. Knight Piésold has donated physical science and biology equipment for the high school’s laboratories.

The Bokamoso programme has made significant investments at previous high schools in Gauteng, Kwa-Zulu Natal, Limpopo, and Western Cape. Along with the goal of improving the performance of students’ ability in maths and science at these schools, Knight Piésold foresees the initiative as providing a pipeline for future engineers, technologists, and scientists for the company and the South African economy as a whole.

The ML Sultan Secondary School has a strong history within the region. The school was founded in the early ‘60s and has remained a trade school that offers courses that include mechanics and engineering science. As part of its commitment to education, Knight Piésold saw an opportunity to help the school grow its facilities and develop its pupils.
