Günter Leicher

Günter Leicher is a Director at Knight Piésold Namibia and is based in the Windhoek office. He has extensive local knowledge and has been involved in project management, civil design, construction supervision, project proposal preparation, and detailed surveying on projects throughout Namibia. He has worked on major projects, such as the Neckartal Dam, labor-based construction of a 330 km rural water supply network, and a 183 km railway embankment project. Gunter is also expanding Knight Piesold’s footprint in new markets within the SADC region, such as Angola and Democratic Republic of the Congo.

Günter also has professional experience in the development of industrial parks, shopping centres, warehouses, hotels, and sports facilities. He holds a National Diploma in civil engineering from the Cape Peninsula University of Technology and a B.Tech. in civil engineering from the University of South Africa. He is a registered Incorporated Engineer with the Engineering Council of Namibia. Gunter was the President of the Engineering Professions Association for two years and also served on the board of the Engineering Council of Namibia.
