Project Overview
The Gualcamayo Project is a gold mine that is located at altitude between 1,500 and 2,000 masl and 110 km away from the city of San Jose de Jachal, in the Jachal department of northern San Juan province.
Project Role
Knight Piésold developed an update of the mine´s conceptual closure plan and cost estimate for Minas Argentinas S.A. One of the client’s objectives was to determine costs to implement the closure plan.
Knight Piésold completed a final report that reflected all the changes since the last work. Knight Piésold contextualized the final report, not as a new Conceptual Closure Plan, but as a document of the Conceptual Closure Plan of the Gualcamayo Project, which will complement the original Environmental Impact Assessment.
