Ph.D., P.Eng., P.E.Dr. Amy Adams is a Senior Engineer based in Knight Piésold’s North Bay office. She has experience in static and seismic slope stability, liquefaction and consolidation analysis, reinforced earth structures design, foundation design (bearing capacity and settlement analysis), as well as data analysis and foundation characterization, including Cone Penetration Test, field vane, and advanced laboratory testing.
Amy has been involved with the design of slopes, foundations, reinforced earth, and ground improvement and has provided geotechnical input to dam breach assessments. She has a strong background in soils testing through hands-on experience as a researcher at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology during her Ph.D. studies. Amy has used this experience on a number of mining projects in Canada, the USA, Cuba, Mexico, Columbia, Madagascar, and West Africa.
