Ph.D., P.Eng., P.E.Dr. Cindy Starzyk is a Specialist Hydrogeological Engineer based in Knight Piésold’s Vancouver office. She has a doctorate in geological engineering with a focus in hydrogeology. Her expertise is in assessing watershed-scale hydrogeology and characterizing the interaction between groundwater and surface water using field methods and numerical modelling.
Her broad experience includes hydrogeological characterization at undeveloped sites and operating mines, field program planning and execution, data analysis, numerical modelling, and predicting potential effects of development for environmental impact assessments. Her experience spans North and South America, and includes projects in desert environments, wet climates, and permafrost regions.
