Francisco García is the Environmental Manager at Knight Piésold Peru, based in Lima. He joined Knight Piésold 16 years ago and currently also serves as project manager for the preparation of environmental studies. An environmental engineer, Francisco graduated first place from the Faculty of Sciences of the La Molina National Agrarian University, with postgraduate studies in quality management and environmental auditing. He has more than 20 years of experience in preparing environmental management documents for the energy, mining, and transportation sectors.
At Knight Piésold, Francisco has successfully managed the approval of environmental impact studies for different projects, such as: La Zanja, Tantahuatay, Orcopampa, Quechua, Chucapaca, Conga, Cerro Verde, Quellaveco, Mina Justa, Shahuindo, Las Bambas, Pueblo Viejo (Dominican Republic), Mirador (Ecuador), San Cristóbal (Bolivia) in the mining sector; Puerto Salaverry, Puerto Matarani, Lima Airport Partners in the transportation sector; and mineral concentrate warehouses in Callao.
He is notable for his specializations in environmental impact studies, environmental monitoring, environmental audits, and project management, and he has proven skills in leadership, team management, and risk and conflict management, essential characteristics for obtaining positive results in socio-environmental studies.
