Thomas Sully is a Senior Engineer based in Knight Piésold’s Vancouver office. Thomas has a B.A.Sc. in Geological Engineering from Queen’s University (2010) and completed his graduate studies at the University of Texas at Austin (2013), receiving an M.S.E. in Geotechnical Engineering. He is a registered Professional Engineer in British Columbia.
Thomas has been involved as a project manager and design engineer for projects relating to mine waste management, tailings impoundment design, dam safety assessment of operating facilities, and site investigations. In particular, his focus is in embankment design, laboratory testing of soils and tailings, and interpretation of site investigation data. Prior to joining Knight Piésold, Thomas gained experience in geotechnical characterization and foundation design for highway construction, bridges, railway, offshore platforms, and terminal facilities. His experience includes projects in Canada, United States, Chile, and Colombia.
