Richard Cook is a Specialist Environmental Scientist based in Knight Piésold’s North Bay office. He is a professional geoscientist with 23 years of experience in environmental and social impact assessments (ESIAs), water quality assessments, mine closure planning, Indigenous knowledge studies, and Indigenous and community consultation. He regularly manages multidisciplinary environmental assessments and permitting/licensing of mining and hydropower projects and is called upon to participate in due diligence project reviews. Recent assignments include the Mary River Project and the Chidliak Project in Nunavut, Canada and the Farim Phosphate Project in Guinea-Bissau.
