Steve Aiken

Steven Aiken is the Manager of Environmental Services based in Knight Piesold’s North Bay office. He has over 28 years of experience in project management, environmental assessments (EAs), hydrogeological studies, permitting, community consultation, site investigations, site remediation, geochemical characterization studies, and closure planning and engineering design. He has worked for mining, commercial/industrial, renewable energy, local government, and Indigenous clients throughout North America and around the world, including Central America, South America, the Caribbean, Africa, Europe, and the Middle East. Steven has worked on projects in the arctic, fly-in only remote locations, the Andes, and dessert environments.

Steven has carried out and/or supervised numerous mine closure plans, geochemical assessments, baseline studies, and EAs/EIAs for the mining industry. He also has hands-on experience remediating hydrocarbon-contaminated industrial, commercial, and residential sites. Steven has successfully represented numerous clients at various regulatory levels for project approvals and permits.  He has also worked closely with Indigenous communities on resource development projects.
