Mónica Pardo is the Sustainability Manager of Knight Piésold Chile and is based in the Santiago office. She is a hydrogeologist with more than 22 years of experience in hydrogeology, hydrochemistry and water resources evaluation, environmental strategy, and water rights.
She joined Knight Piésold as the Water Resources Leader in January 2017, in charge of the hydraulic, hydrogeology, and water quality group. Previously, she worked in similar positions at other consulting companies focused on water resources and environmental work for the mining sector.
She worked as a senior hydrogeologist in Andina Division, Codelco-Chile, in charge of the design of the strategy for the control of tailings water seepage infiltrations from the facility, leading the technical development of the conceptual model of the tailing dam-aquifer system, its mathematical modeling, and the design of control measures to provide solutions for these seepage infiltrations. She also headed the Water Resources Conservation and Protection Department, at the Chilean Government General Water Administration (DGA).
