May 30, 2018, Vancouver, BC, Canada – Knight Piésold Canada has successfully completed a recertification audit of its certified Integrated Management System (IMS) and a transition audit to the updated 2015 ISO 9001 (Quality) and ISO 14001 (Environment) standards. This achievement ensures that the company maintains certification for the next three years.
The BSI Group (BSI), a certification body for ISO standards, conducted audits on April 16-19 at the North Bay office and on April 30-May 3 at the Vancouver office to confirm compliance with the elements of the scope of registration and the transition requirements of the new management standards. The BSI auditors stated “This audit has verified the effective implementation of the integrated management system and has resulted in an overwhelming recommendation for continued certification as well as transition (to ISO 9001:2015 and ISO 14001:2015).”
This is the third recertification since establishing the IMS in 2009. At that time, Knight Piésold Canada added certifications for its Environmental Management System (ISO 14001) and Occupational Health and Safety Management System (OHSAS 18001) to its already existing Quality Management System (ISO 9001), which was registered in 2001. Integral to Knight Piésold Canada’s daily operations, the IMS incorporates the three standards and provides a web-based management tool for carrying out business processes and activities.
Knight Piésold is dedicated to the continuous improvement of its systems and takes pride in its commitment to quality, environmental sustainability, and health and safety.
